Los gobiernos progresistas de América del Sur enfrentan cambios macroeconómicos
infaustos que dificultan el mantenimiento de la tendencia favorable al bienestar de la población y obligan a políticas de ajuste, al tiempo que cuestionan el modelo primario exportador que sostuvo la bonanza anterior obligando a replantearse tanto el paradigma de desarrollo como el curso político hasta ahora seguido, pues al asociarse con el contexto económico adverso, las presiones del imperio y la ofensiva de las oligarquías locales ponen en riesgo el pluralismo democrático por el momento imperante.
The progressivist governments of South America face unlucky macroeconomic changes that hinder maintaining the trend towards welfare and impels adjustment policies, while questioning the primary export model which sustained the previous boom, forcing rethink both the development paradigm as the political course followed so far, because by partnering with the adverse economic environment, the pressures of government and local oligarchies offensive threaten democratic pluralism by the current time.
