Resumen / Abstract :	Varios escritores han abordado recientemente problemas tradicionales del marxismo dentro del marco de la elección racional o incluso de la teoría clásica del equilibrio general. El análisis que viene a continuación gira en torno a cuatro temas: la teoría de la acción individual; la ontología de los actores colectivos; la estructura del conflicto de clases; y la teoría de juegos como aparato técnico. Sigue una breve conclusión, orientada hacia el futuro. Buena parte del análisis no lleva a ninguna conclusión definitiva, pero de ahí se desprende una cuestión general: la crítica del marxismo ofrecida por el individualismo metodológico es irrefutable y saludable, pero los supuestos ontológicos del marco de la elección racional son insostenibles. Así– pues, mientras que cualquier teoría de la historia debe tener unos microfundamentos, la teoría de la acción individual debe contener más información contextual de lo que admite el actual paradigma de la elección racional. La tarea de comprender la historia como el resultado de unas acciones individuales se abre aún ante nosotros. Different authors have recently approached Marxismâs traditional issues within the framework of the rational choice theory and even the classical general equilibrium theory. The analysis presented below revolves around four topics: the theory of individual action, the ontology of collective action, the structure of class conflict, and game theory as a technical device. A brief conclusion follows, which is oriented towards the future. Most of the analysis does not lead to any final conclusion, but a general issue transpires: criticism of Marxism put forth by methodological individualism is irrefutable and healthy, but the ontological assumptions made within the framework of rational choice are unsustainable. Therefore, whilst any theory of history must have some micro-fundaments, the theory of individual action must contain more contextual information than the current rational choice paradigm admits. The endeavour to understand history as the result of individual action still lies before us.
