En el capítulo primero responde a qué es una fonoteca. El capítulo segundo contiene un sistema completo para ordenar una fonoteca, trata de mostrar, los pasos que una emisora con pocos recursos humanos debe dar para implementar un sistema de catalogación y archivo eficaz. Se plantea la necesidad de tener un fichero mixto, por títulos de canciones e intérpretes, y la de hacer un fichero temático, de acuerdo con la capacidad de producción de programas que tenga la emisora. Finalmente, para facilitar la lectura y el seguimiento de los pasos de los sistemas tratados, hemos puesto en anexos las partes correspondientes a las clasificaciones de los ficheros. Aquí aparecen seis anexos que se puede utilizar a discreción.
