| Description: | El propósito de la presente investigación consistió en estudiar la relación entre la Teoría de la Mente y la Conducta Prosocial, para ello se usó una muestra de 60 estudiantes de quinto grado de primaria de un colegio del sector oficial de la ciudad de Pereira, Colombia, fue un estudio cuantitativo, correlacional con alcance transversal, en el cual se aplicaron dos baterías, la batería de ToM y la batería Basc para padres y estudiantes. Los resultados mostraron que, si bien los estudiantes alcanzaron puntuaciones altas en las variables analizadas, Teoría de la Mente y las dimensiones relacionadas con la Prosocialidad (autoestima, relaciones interpersonales, relación con los padres, confianza) no se halla una correlación entre la Teoría de la Mente y la Conducta Prosocial, por tanto, se confirma la hipótesis nula. The purpose of this research was to study the relationship between Theory of Mind and Prosocial Behavior. A sample of 60 fifth-grade students from a public school in Pereira, Colombia, was used. This was a quantitative, correlational, cross-sectional study in which two test batteries were applied: the ToM battery and the BASC battery for parents and students. The results showed that, although the students scored high on the analyzed variables—Theory of Mind and dimensions related to Prosociality (self-esteem, interpersonal relationships, relationship with parents, trust)—no correlation was found between Theory of Mind and Prosocial Behavior. Therefore, the null hypothesis was confirmed. |
