El discurso del “peligro inminente” está conformado por varias hebras convergentes, que parecen tener por objetivo convencer a la opinión pública ecuatoriana de la necesidad de incrementar las medidas de seguridad en la frontera norte, y al mismo tiempo, de escalar el involucramiento del país en las luchas que afligen al vecino colombiano.
