| Description: | Este ensayo se refiere a la democratización social del cuerpo de oficiales del ejército peruano.
Aquí planteo que a diferencia de las otras instituciones castrenses del país, el ejército es la corporación
militar que cuenta con una importante oficialidad chola, es decir, de procedencia
popular, migrante y andina. Este es un proceso que ha ido de la mano con la andinización de
las zonas urbanas en el Perú, el discurso inclusivo desarrollado en la primera fase del gobierno
del General Velasco (1968-1975) y los eventos acontecidos durante los años del conflicto armado
interno (1980-2000). In this essay I maintain that there has been a process of democratization within the corps of officers of the Peruvian Army. Unlike the other Peruvian military institutions, in the army there is a significant number of cholo officers, that is to say, officers with an Andean and urban migrant background. This has been the consequence of, among other aspects, the andeanization of urban areas in Peru, the inclusive discourse towards common sectors sponsored by the military government of General Juan Velasco (1968-1975), and the events which took place during the internal armed conflict (1980-2000). |
