| Description: | El siguiente artículo tiene por objetivo hacer un análisis de las modificaciones que las tecnologías de visualización biomédica, involucradas en el embarazo (ecosonograma) así como la instauración de la figura del médico (como actor privilegiado en el proceso reproductivo), están provocando en las conceptualizaciones del proceso salud-enfermedad y del propio cuerpo de las mujeres latinoamericanas de escasos recursos usando las teorización que elaboran Scolari, Morley, Haraway y Benjamin sobre los nuevos medios y las tecnologías de comunicación en relación a su influencia en la configuración de prácticas culturales y subjetividades. Lo anterior con base en una investigación de campo de corte antropológico realizado en una maternidad pública (área gíneco-obstétrica) de la Zona Metropolitana de Guadalajara en México. The next paper has the objetive to develop an analysis about the modifications that the biomedical visualization technologies and the figure of the ‘doctor’ (as a privileged actor in the reproductive process) have been provoked in the conceptualizations of the health-disease process and the body of the por latin American women. The theorizing of Scolari, Morley, Haraway and Benjamin about the new media and communication technologies related to the influence of the configuration of social practices will be used. |
