| Description: | El caso Watergate puso de moda el periodismo investigativo. La tenacidad de los periodistas del Washington Post, Carl Bersntein y Robert Woodward, logró que luego de múltiples investigaciones se produjera la renuncia de Richard Nixon, en agosto de 1974. Sin embargo, este resultado no es un claro ejemplo de lo que suele ocurrir tras una investigación periodística. Generalmente la revelación de un encuentro provoca un escándalo inicial que luego se apaga y todos olvidan. Daniel Samper Pizano analiza Watergate y su influencia en el periodismo investigativo de Estados Unidos y otros países. |
