dc.descriptionEl trabajo domiciliario es una de las formas tradicionales de producción textil que ha permanecido en diversas regiones del mundo. Las nuevas expresiones locales vinculadas con el turismo han logrado posicionar a escala global algunos de sus productos. Además, en países con diversidad cultural hay mercados regionales en los que la población usa tradicionalmente vestidos típicos de manera cotidiana. Este artículo ofrece un acercamiento conceptual sobre protoindustria novohispana y la actividad laboral de trabajo en casa. Se presenta el caso de un territorio al sur de México, las clases de trabajo que se han gestado en la actividad textil, así como su especialización geográfica.es_ES
dc.descriptionWork from home is one of the traditional forms of textile production that is still present in diverse regions of the world. The new local expressions connected to tourism have been able to position their products at a global scale. Also, in countries with cultural diversity there are regional markets where the population uses traditional clothing in their day-to-day life. This article offers a conceptual understanding of the novohispano proto-industry and the work activities at home. The case of an area of Southern Mexico is presented, the type of work that has been produced through textile activity, as well as its geographical specialization.es_ES
