Description:	Las democracias de América Latina, y muchas otras del mundo, enfrentan una crisis de representación. Los ciudadanos se distancian cada vez más de sus dirigentes, el abstencionismo en los procesos electorales se incrementa de forma sostenida, los jóvenes muestran poco o ningún interés en la política, los planteamientos programáticos de los partidos políticos pierden interés ante los electores, se vota cada vez más por los líderes y menos por los programas partidarios, y los partidos se reducen a máquinas electorales. The democracies of Latin America, and many others of the world, face a representation crisis. The citizens are distanced more and more of their leaders, the abstentionism in the electoral processes is increased in a sustained way, the youths show little or any interest in the politics, the programmatic positions of the political parties lose interest before the voters, it is voted more and more by the leaders and less for the in favor programs, and the parties decrease to electoral machines.
