Resumen / Abstract :	Este artículo tiene como objetivo analizar la relación entre cambio climático y ciudades, a partir de la incidencia de los procesos de urbanización en la distribución socioespacial de la vulnerabilidad. Se realiza una revisión de bibliografía y una discusión teórica, tomando como ejemplo el crecimiento urbano del área metropolitana de Guadalajara (México) y las implicaciones de vulnerabilidad al cambio climático en dos sitios de atención prioritaria. Entre los argumentos principales se establece que las poblaciones, sobre todo las más desfavorecidas, no solo enfrentan el reto de adaptarse a los riesgos vinculados al cambio climático, sino, además, a los efectos adversos del crecimiento urbano acelerado. The objective of this article is to analyze the relationship between climate change and the city, based on the incidence of urbanization processes on the socio-spatial distribution of vulnerability. To this aim, a review of the literature and a theoretical discussion are conducted, taking as a case study the urban growth of the metropolitan area of Guadalajara (Mexico) and the implications of vulnerability to climate change in some sites of priority attention. Among the main arguments, it is established that the populations, especially the most disadvantaged, not only face the challenge of adapting to the risks arising from climate change but also the effects of accelerated urban growth.
