| Description: | La investigación tiene por objetivo identificar la inserción estratégica del Ecuador en la cadena de valor del narcotráfico. Mediante una metodología cualitativa, técnicas de teledetección, análisis geográfico espacial, entrevistas semiestructuradas y análisis de información de fuentes primarias y secundarias, se caracteriza el ascenso del narcotráfico en la frontera norte. El estudio concluye que el Ecuador pasó de ser un país de tránsito a un país que ocupa un puesto privilegiado en la cadena de valor del narcotráfico. The research aims to identify Ecuador's strategic insertion in the Drug Trafficking Value Chain. Through qualitative research, remote sensing techniques, spatial geographic analysis, semi-structured interviews and analysis of information from primary and secondary sources, the rise of drug trafficking on the northern border is characterized. The study concludes that Ecuador went from being a transit country to a country that occupies a privileged position in the value chain of drug trafficking. |
