Description:	Este trabajo problematiza sobre narrativas de violencia desde la perspectiva de la responsabilidad del ente comunicador, y la necesidad de reflexionar sobre la transmisión de eventos crueles e inhumanos. La línea argumentativa sostiene que se puede caer en dos extremos: la banalización o la retraumatización. Como caso concreto se exploran las narrativas del genocidio en Guatemala. Ante esto, se propone un diálogo con el paradigma de la Justicia Transicional que permita enfocar el discurso desde el derecho de las víctimas contribuyendo a un efecto humanizador. This work problematizes narratives of violence from the perspective of the responsibility of the communicating entity, and the need to reflect on the transmission of cruel and inhuman events. The argumentative line maintains that one can fall into two extremes: trivialization or retraumatization. As a specific case, the narratives of the genocide in Guatemala are explored. Given this, a dialogue with the Transitional Justice paradigm is proposed that allows focusing the discourse from the victims’ rights, contributing to a humanizing effect. Este trabalho problematiza narrativas de violência sob a perspectiva da responsabilidade da entidade comunicadora e a necessidade de refletir sobre a transmissão de eventos cruéis e desumanos. A linha argumentativa sustenta que se pode cair em dois extremos: trivialização ou retraumatização. Como um caso específico, são exploradas as narrativas do genocídio na Guatemala. Diante disso, propõe-se um diálogo com o paradigma da Justiça de Transição, que permita focalizar o discurso a partir dos direitos das vítimas, contribuindo para um efeito humanizador.
