| Resumen / Abstract : | Esta investigación tiene por objetivo principal estudiar los FI y su realidad en Uruguay en el
período 2016 – 2019. La investigación, por tanto, busca comprender y caracterizar las
dimensiones que sostienen y posibilitan la existencia de feminicidios íntimos y su
prevalencia en Uruguay, así como analizar los nudos existentes en las respuestas
institucionales previas a estos desenlaces, y realizar recomendaciones a la política pública
para el abordaje de esta temática. Se tomó el período comprendido entre los años 2016-2019
en el marco del Plan de Acción: por una vida libre de violencia de género, con mirada
generacional, con el fin de visualizar la existencia o no, de algún tipo de modificación en la
problemática, así como de su abordaje por parte del Estado.
Se llevó adelante una estrategia metodológica mixta, con el fin de acceder a una perspectiva
amplia y profunda del fenómeno. Los datos se obtuvieron a partir de: registros y bases de
datos, artículos de prensa, y entrevistas a informantes calificados/as. Se realizó una
caracterización de cada FI, clasificando la información en función de diferentes variables.
De los principales hallazgos se concluye que, dadas las características específicas de los FI,
existe un mayor consenso en su tipificación con relación a la tipificación de los feminicidios
en general. Sin embargo, se identificaron fallas en la construcción de los datos, en el
abordaje a mujeres en situación de VBG, y en la integración del enfoque de género en todo el
proceso de atención e investigación desde las políticas públicas. The main objective of this research is to study intimate femicide (IF) and their reality in Uruguay in the period 2016-2019. The research, therefore, seeks to understand and characterize the dimensions that support and enable the existence of IF and their prevalence in Uruguay, as well as analyze the existing knots in the previous institutional responses to these outcomes, and make recommendations to public policy to address this issue. The period between the years 2016-2019 was taken because in these years was developed the Action Plan: for a life free of gender violence with a generational perspective, in order to visualize the existence or not of some type of modification in the problem, as well as its treatment carried out by the State. A mixed methodological strategy was carried out, in order to access a broad and a deep perspective of the research problem. Data were obtained from: registers and databases, press articles, and interviews with qualified informants. A characterization of each IF was carried out, classifying the information according to different variables. From the main findings, it can be concluded that, given the specific characteristics of IF, there is a greater consensus in their classification in relation to the classification of femicides in general. However, shortcomings were identified in the construction of the data, in the approach to women in situations of gender violence, and in the integration of a gender perspective throughout the process of public policy attention and investigation. |
