| Description: | Este estudio se enmarca en los derechos sexuales y reproductivos de las mujeres;
específicamente el derecho al aborto voluntario en el marco de legalidad en Uruguay y
su implementación en el contexto de emergencia sanitaria por pandemia de SARSCOV-2. La salud de las mujeres y el ejercicio efectivo de los derechos sexuales y
reproductivos son un problema de salud pública que requiere atención particular en
contexto de pandemia. El estudio, realiza el análisis de la implementación de la Ley N°
18.987 de “Interrupción Voluntaria del Embarazo” en dicho contexto. A través del
Modelo Ecológico Multidimensional, analiza la afectación al ejercicio de este derecho
de las mujeres en función de la manera en que se implementó la ley en el contexto de
pandemia en Uruguay. Específicamente, se identifican barreras y obstáculos planteados
en el marco de la implementación de la Ley Nº 18.987 de “Interrupción Voluntaria del
Embarazo” en el contexto de pandemia por SARS-COV-2, se analiza el rol que
asumieron las organizaciones de la sociedad civil en relación al seguimiento de la
implementación de la Ley Nº 18.987 de “Interrupción Voluntaria del Embarazo” y se
indaga en los mecanismos implementados por el Estado para la atención y protección de
los derechos de las mujeres que transitaron el proceso de interrupción voluntaria del
embarazo en el contexto de pandemia por SARS-COV-2. La investigación aporta
producción de conocimiento específica sobre el acceso al aborto e implementación de la
norma que regula la práctica en el marco del sistema de salud en Uruguay en el contexto
de la emergencia sanitaria. This study is framed in the sexual and reproductive rights of women; specifically the right to voluntary abortion within the legal framework in Uruguay and its implementation in the context of the health emergency due to the SARS-COV-2 pandemic. Women's health and the effective exercise of sexual and reproductive rights are a public health problem that requires particular attention in the context of a pandemic. The study analyzes the implementation of Law No. 18,987 on "Voluntary Interruption of Pregnancy" in that context. Through the Multidimensional Ecological Model, it analyzes the impact on the exercise of this right of women based on the way in which the law was implemented in the context of the pandemic in Uruguay. Specifically, barriers and obstacles posed in the framework of the implementation of Law No. 18,987 on "Voluntary Interruption of Pregnancy" in the context of the SARSCOV-2 pandemic are identified, the role assumed by civil society organizations is analyzed in relation to the monitoring of the implementation of Law No. 18,987 of "Voluntary Interruption of Pregnancy" and inquires into the mechanisms implemented by the State for the care and protection of the rights of women who went through the process of voluntary interruption of pregnancy in the context of the SARS-COV-2 pandemic. The research provides specific knowledge production on access to abortion and implementation of the norm that regulates the practice within the framework of the health system in Uruguay in the context of the health emergency. |
