| Description: | En este artículo se analiza la presencia económica china en Sudamérica en el marco de la Iniciativa de la Franja y la Ruta (IFyR) y más allá de ella, así como las implicaciones para las dinámicas de cooperación intrarregional, en un contexto de disputa estratégica entre China y Estados Unidos. Con un abordaje teórico-metodológico de la Economía Política Internacional, se busca comprender los procesos de cambio estructural y sus constricciones y/o posibilidades para los actores sociales. Se identifican los actores más relevantes y las interacciones entre los niveles doméstico, subregional y global de análisis. This article analyzes the Chinese economic presence in South America within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and beyond it, and the implications for the dynamics of intraregional cooperation, in a context of strategic dispute between China and United States. From a theoretical-methodological approach of International Political Economy, we seek to understand the processes of structural change and the consequent constraints and/or possibilities for social actors. We identify the most relevant actors and the interactions between the domestic, subregional and global levels of analysis. |
