| Resumen / Abstract : | Este artículo se divide en cuatro partes. La primera avanza en la contextualización de la descentralización municipal en América Latina y Chile desde la década de 1980. La segunda parte presenta el Local Autonomy Índex 2.0., desarrollado para medir la autonomía municipal en 57 países (Ladner et al., 2021). La tercera presenta la medición de la autonomía municipal en Chile entre 1990 y 2020 utilizando este indicador. Finalmente, la cuarta evalúa el nivel relativo de la autonomía municipal en Chile respecto de otros países. This article is divided into four parts. The first advances in the contextualization of municipal decentralization in Latin America and Chile since the 1980s. The second part presents the Local Autonomy Index 2.0., developed to measure municipal autonomy in 57 countries (Ladner et al. 2021). The third presents the measurement of municipal autonomy in Chile between 1990 and 2020 using this indicator. Finally, the fourth evaluates the relative level of municipal autonomy in Chile with respect to other countries. |
