| Description: | Este artículo examina un periodo de transformación y convulsión húngara en la década de 1950, examinando sus impactos humanos e intelectuales en Colombia. Para aquel periodo, en el país sudamericano la atención se centró en asuntos internos, lo que oscureció la percepción de los eventos en Europa del Este, como la Revolución Húngara. Sin embargo, aquellos sucesos tuvieron repercusiones que se hicieron sentir en Colombia, dando lugar a la recepción de refugiados, incluyendo intelectuales de renombre que rápidamente se incorporaron a universidades del país latino. This article examines a period of Hungarian transformation and upheaval in the 1950s, examining its human and intellectual impacts in Colombia. During that period, attention in the South American country was focused on internal affairs, which obscured the perception of events in Eastern Europe, such as the Hungarian Revolution. However, those events had repercussions that were felt in Colombia, leading to the reception of refugees, including renowned intellectuals who quickly joined universities in the Latin country. |
