dc.descriptionLa presente investigación buscó conocer las maneras en que el contexto migratorio incidió en el diseño e implementación de la formación ciudadana en los establecimientos educacionales de la comuna de Arica, en el norte de Chile. A través de entrevistas a directivos y profesores, se analiza que los planes de formación ciudadana están centrados en acciones vinculadas a los proyectos educativos de cada establecimiento, con diferencias en las percepciones de ciudadanía entre escuelas. Aquellos establecimientos con mayores prácticas interculturales tienden a ser los que cuentan con mayor población migrante, con prácticas pedagógicas que motivan la participación activa de las y los estudiantes y que separan la ciudadanía de la nacionalidad. Sin embargo, hay establecimientos educacionales donde prima la asimilación y la unión entre lo nacional y lo ciudadano, con la consiguiente exclusión de quienes no forman parte de las expresiones nacionales ariqueñas. En ese contexto, la ciudadanía puede constituirse considerando distintos niveles de actuación (local, nacional, regional, mundial) e identidades locales que tensionan la construcción homogénea de nación, pero sin que esté resuelta la definición de ciudadanía que guía su formación.es_ES
dc.descriptionThis research sought to understand the ways in which the migratory context influences the design and implementation of citizenship education in educational institutions in the municipality of Arica, in northern Chile. Through interviews with directors and teachers, it is analyzed that the citizenship education plans are centered on actions related to the educational projects of each institution, with differences in the perception of citizenship among schools. The establishments with more intercultural practices tend to be those with a larger immigrant population, with pedagogical practices that motivate the active participation of students and that separate citizenship from nationality. However, there are also educational institutions where assimilation and the union of nationality and citizenship prevail, with the consequent exclusion of those who do not belong to the national expressions of the people of the region. In this context, citizenship can be constituted taking into account different levels of action (local, national, regional, global) and local identities that emphasize the homogeneous construction of the nation, without resolving the definition of citizenship that guides its formation.es_ES
