dc.description	La reducción de la mortalidad materna en un 75% es el Objetivo de Desarrollo del Milenio 5a. Para llegar a esto objetivo, los países necesitan una imagen precisa de las causas y los niveles de muertes maternas. Sin embargo, los esfuerzos para documentar el progreso en la disminución de la mortalidad materna deben hacer ajustes por inconsistencias en la mortalidad materna reportada por el país. Completitud de la muerte materna informes y precisión de las declaraciones de las causas de muerte deben mejorarse y pueden comprometer el resultado resultante de la posterior codificación y clasificación estandarizadas de acuerdo con las reglas de la Clasificación Estadística Internacional de Enfermedades (CIE).
