| Description: | La Kriss Romaní o Romaniya es el sistema jurídico transnacional del pueblo rom (gitano). El
sistema de aplicación del derecho entre los rom se denomina Kriss, expresión que designa tanto
el derecho en general como la asamblea o consejo de ancianos encargados de aplicarlo. Este artículo
analiza y describe el proceso de organización del pueblo rom en torno al ejercicio del derecho
de administrar justicia bajo sus propios patrones culturales. Se pasa revista a las dinámicas
desarrolladas en América Latina, en especial a los casos del pueblo rom en Colombia y
Chile. The Romani Kriss or Romaniya is the transnacional legal system of rom (gypsy) people. The system application of rights among rom is called Kriss, expression that designates the common right as well as the meeting or council of elders in charge of carrying it out. This article analyses and describes the process of rom people’s organization based on the right of administering justice under their own cultural patterns. Dynamics developed in Latin America are looked over, specially those cases in Colombia and Chile. |
