| Resumen / Abstract : | En este estudio de caso realizado con jóvenes en Cuernavaca se busca comprender sociológicamente los significados que los agentes sociales atribuyen al cuerpo y al riesgo en los ámbitos de la reproducción y de la sexualidad. Partimos de reconocer que tanto los cuerpos (masculinos y femeninos) como el riesgo son social e históricamente construidos y significados. Así, consideramos que en las sociedades contemporáneas los significados del riesgo intervienen en la manera en que las personas experimentan y construyen no sólo el cuerpo, sino también la reproducción y la sexualidad por lo que se propone explorar los vínculos existentes entre la construcción de significados del riesgo y los significados del cuerpo (generizado) enfatizando en el rol que juegan en dicho proceso los condicionantes e identidades de género y las relaciones de poder que en contextos específicos estructuran y moldean estos significados. Asumimos que los significados y definiciones sociales del cuerpo y del riesgo atribuidos por los agentes sociales juegan un papel central en la configuración de significados, prácticas y representaciones sociales en torno a la aceptabilidad del riesgo (la cual es siempre genéricamente diferenciada) en los ámbitos de la sexualidad y de la reproducción.This case study hold among youngsters in Cuernavaca we search to understand sociologically the social meanings of the body and the risk in the reproduction and sexuality fields. We recognize that the bodies as well as the risks are socially and historically constructed and interpreted. Therefore, we assume that in the contemporary societies the meanings of risk are essentials in the way the social agents experience and construct not only the body, but also the reproduction and the sexuality. Thus, we propose to explore the links between the social constructions about risk and the meanings and constructions around the gendered bodies. We emphasize the important role of power relationships, the social conditionings and gender identities over these processes. We assume that the meanings and social definitions of the body and the risk given by the social agents play a central role in the configuration of meanings, practices and social representations around the (gendered) risk acceptability in the areas of sexuality and reproduction. |
