| Description: | El artículo analiza un momento de ruptura en la historia cultural de Ecuador en los años sesenta
del siglo XX, especialmente en la narrativa. Los debates y los temas ilustran no sólo lo que
en aquel momento se evidenció como los límites de la novela indigenista, por la que la literatura
ecuatoriana fue y es conocida, sino la relación entre la narrativa y las características específicas
de la sociedad ecuatoriana y su cultura. This article analyzes moment of rupture in the cultural history of Ecuador (especially in narrative), during the 1960s. The debates and subjects not only illustrate the limits of the indigenist novel, by which Ecuadorian Literature was and is well-known, but also the relationship between the narrative and the specific characteristics of Ecuadorian society and culture. |
