Description:	Se analiza en este artículo la distinción que hace Lefort entre “lo político” y “la política”. Se distancia de la tradición científica y positivista de la teoría política que considera lo político como “objeto” de estudio. Precisamente, propone que lo político es mucho más que un espacio determinado por el orden de poder del Estado o la sociedad, puesto que es una experiencia ciudadana para pensar la sociedad a partir de diversas circunstancias y contenidos. Es una praxis de autoconstitución de la política desde interacciones que democratizan la participación. Lo político, por lo tanto, se constituye como un tipo de análisis metasociológico, metapolítico que abarca una interrogación sobre el ser de lo social, preocupándose por el fenómeno de su institución. In this article, the distinction that Lefort makes between what is “political” and “politics” is analyzed. It distances itself from the scientific, positivist position of political theory that considers what is political as an “object” for study. Precisely, it proposes that what is political is much more than a space determined by the power order of state or society, since it is a citizen experience for thinking about society based on diverse circumstances and contents. It is a praxis for the self-constitution of politics out of interactions that democratize participation. What is political, therefore, is constituted as a type of metasociological, metapolitical analysis that includes an interrogation about the being of what is social, concerned about the phenomenon of its institution.
