Description:	El presente artículo indaga acerca de la articulación entre las tendencias globales del capital que han favorecido un nuevo proceso de dependencia económica en los países de América del Sur y los diversos modelos de desarrollo a escala nacional. A través de un análisis cuantitativo de variables que dan cuenta de las fases iniciales del ciclo del capital en los países de la región, el trabajo pretende identificar las características diferenciales entre países en el siglo xxi. De esta manera, se aborda la problemática de la nueva dependencia como una tendencia global que, sin embargo, es mediada por la emergencia de nuevos proyectos de desarrollo a escala nacional. This article investigates the articulation between global tendencies of capital that have favoured a new economic dependence process in the South American countries and the different development models at national scale. Through the quantitative analysis of variables that show the initial phases of the cycle of capital in the region’s countries, the work pretends to identify the differential characteristics among countries in the 21st Century. In this way, the problem of the new dependence as a global tendency is studied which is, however, mediated by the emergence of new development projects at national scale.
