| dc.description | La explicación estándar del camino hacia la modernidad, o si se prefiere, de la edificación del capitalismo como proyecto que ha terminado por abarcar al mundo entero ha llegado a establecer un “canon” de lectura que aunque muy recientemente ha visto resquebrajada su hegemonía discursiva no deja de ser asimilado como el “lugar común” en muchas discusiones. Tal constructo establece una articulación entre una teoría general de pretensión universal y una condición de especificidad que está en la base del pretendido adelanto relativo que se le otorga a un complejo cultural y geográfico (entidad que pasará a ser denominada Europa) que tiende a despegarse y comandar al resto del mundo en un específico momento de la historia y por razones también peculiares. El trabajo ofrece ciertos hilos argumentales que cuestionan este canon de interpretación en el ánimo de ofrecer un tipo de lectura distinta que pueda, por un lado, vislumbrar de mejor modo la periodización de la modernidad y recuperar la dignidad de las otras culturas en un proceso que está evidenciando que la era actual será la del diálogo filosófico y que puede éste comenzar por señalarle una mayor humildad a la dominación euro-occidental del mundo (en el marco de una teorización que se promete como el paso del sistema de los quinientos al sistema de los doscientos años), para así medir los verdaderos alcances de la interculturalidad. | es_EC |
| dc.description | The standard explanation of the path to modernity or, if preferred, the building of capitalism as a project that has come to encompass the whole world has come to establish a “canon” of reading which, although very recently, discursive hegemony has been cracked continues to be treated as “common place” in many discussions. Such construct set up a joint between a general theory of universal claim and a specific condition that is at the base of the alleged relative advancement that is given to a cultural and geographical complex (entity which will be called Europe) which tends to unstuck and to command the rest of the world at a specific moment in history and for peculiar reasons. The paper offers some plot strands that question this canon of interpretation in the spirit of offering a different kind of reading that can, on one hand glimpse of how best periodization of modernity and restore the dignity of other cultures in a process that is becoming apparent that the current era will be of the philosophical dialogue and that it can start by pointing out more humility to the euro-western domination of the world (in the framework of theorizing that is promised as the passage of the five hundred years system to the two hundred years system) in order to measure the true extent of the interculturality. | es_EC |
