| Description: | En el Ecuador, las dictaduras de los años 60 y 70 vincularon a los militares con el desarrollo social
y económico. Si bien en los 80 retornaron a los cuarteles, y a su bien acariciada política de
autogestión empresarial, durante los 25 años de democracia formal se quedaron con esa visión
idílica del poder basado en la fuerza y en el reemplazo de la política por la tecnocracia. Siguieron
acariciando su vocación planificadora sobre lo social y lo político, hasta el punto que, ya
en el siglo XXI, no dudaron en hacer suya la aventura gutierrista, apoyando tras bastidores a
uno más de los populismos ecuatorianos. Criticando a la clase política, el gutierrismo saltó a la
política por la vía electoral. Quiso revivir el proyecto militar. Pero ahora -como entonces- esta
aventura no era más que una versión ideológica de una sociedad pensada en los cuarteles. In Ecuador, dictatorships of 60s and 70s tied the military to the social and economic development. Although in the 80s they returned to the quarters, during the 25 years of formal democracy they remained that idyllic vision of power based on force, and the replacement of politics by technocracy. They continued caressing its planning vocation on the social and the politicial, so far to, already in XXI century, they did not doubt in doing theirs the Gutierrez adventure, supporting one more of the Ecuadorian populisms. Criticizing the political class, el gutierrismo jumped to politics through the electoral route. It wanted to retake the military project. But now -like then- this adventure was not more than an ideological version of the society built into the quarters. |
