dc.description	La desigualdad y la exclusión social en México tienen raíces que se remontan a su pasado colonial. En el México independiente se mantuvo, y se mantiene hasta hoy, una economía basada en la extracción de riqueza de las mayorías para el beneficio de un reducido grupo. La herencia del colonialismo interno y el carácter extractivo de su economía, marcan diferencias de fondo entre México y los países industrializados de Occidente que hacen insuficiente la teoría generada en estos para abordar las realidades del país. Esa insuficiencia tiene consecuencias en la política pública. La adopción acrítica de modelos de gobierno y de políticas concebidos para el Occidente industrializado ha resultado costosa para México, un país que hoy se distingue por la abultada pobreza de sus mayorías, su profunda desigualdad y sus altos índices de inseguridad y violencia. Para avanzar hacia la sociedad incluyente en México y en otros países de América Latina es necesario tomar distancia de esos modelos y construir teoría del gobierno y la política pública que parta del conocimiento profundo de nuestra historia y de nuestras realidades, una tarea aún pendiente. The inequality and social exclusion in Mexico have roots that go back to its colonial past. In independent Mexico, an economy based on the extraction of wealth from the majority for the benefit of a small group was maintained, and continues to this day. The legacy of internal colonialism and the extractive nature of its economy mark fundamental differences between Mexico and the industrialized countries of the West that make the theory generated in these countries insufficient to address the realities of the country. This inadequacy has consequences for public policy. The uncritical adoption of models of government and policies conceived for the industrialized West has been costly for Mexico, a country that today is distinguished by the high poverty of its majorities, its deep inequality and its high rates of insecurity and violence. In order to advance towards an inclusive society in Mexico and other Latin American countries, it is necessary to distance ourselves from these models and build a theory of government and public policy based on a profound knowledge of our history and our realities, a task that is still pending.	es_ES
