Introducción: en este artículo se analiza la red de territorios de sacrificio conformada por los lugares en donde se han depositado los residuos sólidos de la Gran Área Metropolitana (GAM) de Costa Rica. Objetivo: a partir de los conceptos territorios-red, de Rogério Haesbaert, y zona de sacrificio, de Steve Lerner, el artículo tiene por objetivo estudiar los vínculos entre el botadero de basura de Río Azul y los rellenos sanitarios de La Carpio y El Huazo. Introduction: this paper examines the network of sacrifice zones created by the areas where solid waste from the Greater Metropolitan Area (GAM) of Costa Rica has been deposited. Objective: based on the concepts of network territories by Rogério Haesbaert and sacrifice zones by Steve Lerner, the study examines the connections between the Río Azul garbage dump and the La Carpio and El Huazo landfills.
