En esta tesis se presenta el estudio del caso de la formación magisterial en una ciudad al norte de Uruguay de las cohortes 2017 y 2018, como una experiencia innovadora, que surge a partir de la demanda de la población dada la dificultad que representa para estos/estas habitantes realizar una carrera terciaria teniendo en cuenta las condiciones geográficas, es la ciudad que se encuentra más alejada de la capital del país. Es la primera vez que se aplica la modalidad semipresencial en la formación magisterial en nuestro país. Por tal motivo, resulta interesante poder estudiar esta experiencia a través de las opiniones de diferentes actores involucrados y poder compararlas con las de quienes en el mismo departamento reciben una formación presencial. Dicha investigación se realiza en el momento en que la virtualidad se estaba implementando en todos los Institutos de Formación Docente del país dadas las condiciones sanitarias por Covid-19. Esto generó una situación excepcional a partir de la cual ambos grupos estudiados tuvieron un período de tiempo con una modalidad similar que incluía la virtualidad. Con esta investigación se pretende contribuir al debate en lo que refiere a cómo influye la modalidad semipresencial en la formación magisterial y si su implementación, tal cual está dada, es adecuada a los fines propuestos. Como sabemos, dicha modalidad tiene ventajas y desventajas, y su análisis en profundidad pretende contribuir de alguna forma con quienes toman decisiones de políticas educativas de Formación Docente a nivel nacional.This thesis presents the case study of teacher training in a city in the north of Uruguay of the 2017 and 2018 cohorts, as an innovative experience, which arises from the demand of the population given the difficulty for these inhabitants to pursue a tertiary career taking into account the geographical conditions, it is the city that is farthest from the capital of the country. It is the first time that the blended mode is applied in teacher training in our country. For this reason, it is interesting to be able to study this experience through the opinions of the different actors involved and to compare them with those who in the same department receive face-to-face training. This research was carried out at a time when virtuality was being implemented in all the Teacher Training Institutes of the country, given the sanitary conditions by Covid-19. This generated an exceptional situation from which both groups studied had a period of time with a similar modality that included virtuality. The purpose of this research is to contribute to the debate on how the blended learning modality influences teacher training and whether its implementation, as it is, is adequate for the proposed purposes. As we know, this modality has advantages and disadvantages, and its in-depth analysis is intended to contribute in some way to those who make educational policy decisions on teacher training at the national level.
