Presento a continuación la temática con la que trabajé en mi tesina, la presencia de la Umbanda en España por medio de la inmigración uruguaya y argentina que hubo a finales del siglo pasado y principios de éste. Para ello, introduzco al lector en la definición del culto y en su práctica. Presento en líneas generales el panteón umbandista, formado por Orixás y Guías de Luz, y la relación de los iniciados con ellos. Religión para unos y corriente de la New Age para otros, la Umbanda presenta un código de sanación mediante diferentes técnicas basado en la regulación de la energía vital, el axé, para el correcto funcionamiento de los tres cuerpos que tenemos: el cuerpo físico, el cuerpo mental y el cuerpo emocional. El cuerpo equilibrado servirá de soporte para que las entidades espirituales se manifiesten en el trance y así puedan ejercer la práctica de la caridad, consistente en prestar ayuda a todo aquel que necesite y recurra a ellas.
This is the subject in which I was working on my dissertation, the religious worship Umbanda in Spain. It was bring by the uruguayan and argentinian immigration at the end of last century and at the beginning of this one. Therefore, I introduce the reader to the definition of Umbanda Worship and Practice. I show in general terms the gods (Orixás) and Spiritual Guides (Guías de Luz), and the relationship between them and their practising. Some people understand Umbanda as a Religion and another as a New Age movement, but the truth is this cult has a healing code based on the regulation of axe (vital energy), and how works on the three differents bodies we have: physical body, mental body and emotional body. The balanced body of the practising will be the support of the spirits, who express themselves in a trance medium.
