dc.descriptionDurante las últimas dos décadas varias ciudades latinoamericanas han reorganizado sus servicios de transporte público, que presentaban bajos estándares de calidad, para establecer sistemas integrados de transporte con mayores niveles de planificación y regulación estatal. Ello ha coincidido con la creciente acogida del enfoque de movilidad sustentable, que busca superar las políticas urbanas centradas en el automóvil y fomentar formas de desplazamiento con una mayor sostenibilidad social y ambiental. Teniendo en cuenta el contexto descrito, el presente artículo analiza la experiencia de reordenamiento del transporte público en la ciudad de Lima.es_ES
dc.descriptionDuring the last two decades, several Latin American cities have reorganized their public transportation services, which displayed low quality standards, into integrated transit systems with increased levels of State planning and regulation. This trend has come along with an increasing support to the sustainable mobility approach, which seeks to overcome urban policies which had been focused on individual cars, promoting means of displacement which are socially and environmentally more sustainable. Taking into account such context, this paper will analyze the experience of reorganization of public transportation in the city of Lima.es_ES
