dc.descriptionEste trabajo hace un recorrido por el nacimiento, evolución y logros de la Red por una América Latina Libre de Transgénicos (RALLT); una red de espacio de coordinación regional de apoyo a organizaciones que enfrentan la expansión de los cultivos transgénicos. La RALLT aborda la problemática de los cultivos transgénicos desde diversas perspectivas, incluyendo los impactos en la salud que estos generan, la pérdida en la biodiversidad, la dependencia que crea la aplicación de derechos de propiedad intelectual en las semillas. En este artículo se hace un recuento histórico político de cómo y por qué nace la RALLT.es_ES
dc.descriptionThis paper traces the birth, evolution and main achievements of the Network for a GE Free Latin America (RALLT), a regional network that coordinate spaces to support organizations that face the expansion of transgenic crops in the Latin American region. The network addresses the issue of GMOs from a variety of perspectives, including the health impacts that GM crops produces, the loss of biodiversity, and the dependence generated by the application of intellectual property rights in seeds. In this article, we describe the path that RALLT has followed from an historical and political perspective, and how and why RALLT was born.es_ES
