El artículo de investigación analiza las dinámicas, mecanismos y actores en torno a uno de los principales grupos de afinidad del Grupo de los 20 (G20), el llamado Business 20 (B20). Superando al G7/G8 en representatividad global y avanzando sobre su mandato original de hacer frente a la crisis económica y financiera del año 2008, la agenda del G20 contempla un temario que es amplio y ambicioso. Más aún si se tiene en cuenta que los ejes de trabajo del Grupo se estructuran sobre asuntos donde los intereses de los Estados suelen ser controversiales y usualmente contrapuestos. Dicho esto, a continuación, se indaga la forma en la que el B20 incide en la estructuración de la agenda económica del Grupo en lo que hace al cumplimiento de sus objetivos centrales.
The article analyzes the dynamics, mechanisms and actors related to one of the most important engagement groups within the Group of 20 (G20), the so-called Business 20 (B20). Going beyond the G7 / G8 in global representation and advancing on its original mandate to face the economic and financial crisis of 2008, the agenda of the G20 contemplates a broad and ambitious agenda. Even more so if we take into account that the Group’s main axes are structured on issues where the interests of the different States are usually controversial and opposed. The article explores the way the B20 affects the structuring of the Group’s economic agenda in terms of compliance with its central objectives.
