Description
La planificación territorial cantonal en Ecuador ha sufrido una importante modificación con la aprobación de la Ley Orgánica de Ordenamiento Territorial, Uso y Gestión de Suelo y la configuración de un nuevo instrumento, el Plan de Uso y Gestión de Suelo, que se suma al Plan de Desarrollo y Ordenamiento Territorial. Como consecuencia de la nueva normativa y de la unión de estos dos instrumentos, la planificación cantonal se ha vuelto más compleja.
Local planning in Ecuador has undergone major changes as a result of the approval of the “Ley Orgánica de Ordenamiento Territorial, Uso y Gestión de Suelo” (Local Territorial Planning and Land Management Organic Law) and by the development of new planning instruments such as the “Land Use and Management Plan” and the “Territorial Development and Management Plan”.
