Description
Este artículo se basa en un estudio del modelo convencional de producción de alimentos, por los efectos que genera sobre los recursos naturales, tales como suelos, agua, flora y fauna. Estos recursos han venido deteriorándose paulatinamente, por la voracidad con que el modelo convencional interviene los ecosistemas, mediante la aplicación de paquetes tecnológicos basados en la mecanización, las semillas transgénicas, híbridas, biocidas para el control de malezas, plagas, enfermedades y los fertilizantes sintéticos, siendo este último insumo esencial para aumentar la productividad de los cultivos, generando mayores ganancias a bajos costos en el menor tiempo posible.
This article is based on a study of the conventional model of food production for the general effects on natural resources such as soil, water, flora and fauna. These resources have been deteriorating gradually, by the voracity with which the conventional model ecosystems intervenes through the application of technology packages based on mechanization, transgenic seeds, hybrid, biocides to control weeds, pests, diseases, and synthetic fertilizers , the latter being essential input to increase crop productivity, generating higher profits at low cost in the shortest time possible.
