En este artĂculo se reflexiona sobre la pertinencia de abordar la tentativa de femicidio como delito autĂłnomo en Ecuador. Se desarrolla una discusiĂłn teĂłrica sobre el femicidio y la tentativa de femicidio, formas extremas de violencia de gĂ©nero, y se analiza el caso de una sobreviviente que no accediĂł a protecciĂłn ni justicia por parte del Estado. Se concluye que el femicidio y el intento de femicidio parten de variables sociales relacionadas con esquemas patriarcales de subordinaciĂłn femenina. Se identifica al Estado como perpetuador y facilitador de la violencia femicida.
This article reflects on the relevance of addressing the attempted femicide as an autonomous crime in Ecuador. A theoretical discussion is developed about femicide and the attempted femicide, forms of extreme gender violence. The case of a survivor who did not access protection or justice from the State is analyzed. It is concluded that femicide and attempted femicide are based on social variables related to patriarchal schemes of female subordination. The State is identified as the perpetuator and facilitator of femicidal violence.
