China ha expandido el alcance de su poder marítimo en función de los imperativos geoeconómicos y geoestratégicos marcados por la actual fase de su resurgimiento como una gran potencia. El objetivo de este artículo es analizar el rol del poder marítimo en la gran estrategia china en la era de Xi Jinping. La metodología se basa en la revisión de fuentes secundarias (trabajos recientes de algunos de los expertos más reconocidos en el estudio de las relaciones internacionales de China), complementada con referencias a fuentes primarias (pronunciamientos y documentos oficiales del gobierno chino).
China has expanded the reach of its maritime power due to the geo-economic and geo-strategic imperatives set by the current phase of its resurgence as a great power. The aim of this article is to analyze the role of seapower in China’s grand strategy in the Xi Jinping era. The methodology complements the review of secondary sources (recent works by some of the most recognized experts on China’s international relations) with references to primary sources (official Chinese pronouncements and documents).
