Oriente Próximo es un espacio geoestratégico marcado en la actualidad por diversos conflictos y crisis, que condicionan las relaciones entre los actores estatales y no estatales involucrados, así como el establecimiento de estrategias y alianzas. En el trasfondo de algunas de estas complejas dinámicas está la rivalidad entre dos potencias: Irán y Arabia Saudí. Los dos Estados persiguen el objetivo de erigirse como los únicos referentes políticos y religiosos de la zona.
The Middle East is a geostrategic spot marked by various conflicts and crises nowadays, which determine the relationship between state actors and non-state actors involved in the area, as well as the establishment of strategies and alliances among them. The main cause of some of these problematic dynamics is the rivalry between two powers: Iran and Saudi Arabia. These states seek the essential goal of standing up themselves as the only political and religious leader in the local scenario.
