En este artículo se abordan las perspectivas de continuidad y sucesión en la actividad lechera de los pequeños establecimientos familiares, a partir del análisis de las trayectorias y percepciones de productores de Entre Ríos, la cuenca de la región pampeana argentina con mayor proporción de este tipo de establecimientos. El trabajo se sustenta en la revisión de información secundaria y la realización de entrevistas en profundidad a informantes clave y productores de diferente tamaño, orientación productiva y localización espacial. Los resultados obtenidos dan cuenta de un número significativo de casos que se plantean abandonar la actividad láctea aunque no necesariamente su condición de productores.
This article addresses the prospects of continuity and succession in the dairy activity, based on the analysis of the trajectories and perceptions of producers located in Entre Ríos, the basin of the Argentine Pampas region with the highest proportion of this kind of units. It is based on the review of secondary information and in-depth interviews with key informants and producers of different sizes, productive orientation, and spatial location. The results obtained show a significant number of cases that consider abandoning the dairy activity but not necessarily their condition as producers.
