Samaniego es un municipio que se encuentra en el departamento de Nariño (Colombia), es una zona geográfica disputada por grupos armados, pero que cuenta con acciones noviolentas estratégicas que realizan las organizaciones sociales. Una de estas estrategias es el Jiu-jitsu. María Belén Garrido, directora del Instituto Regional para el Estudio y la Práctica de la Acción Noviolenta Estratégica en las Américas y docente e investigadora de estudios de paz y conflicto, lo explica.
