Abstract
Description

Based on the theoretical and clinical model of Psychotraumatology –which allows a comprehensive understanding of trauma– it is intented to identify from a trauma perspective, what are the manifestations produced by constant exposure to multiple forms of GBV for long periods of time en Uruguayan women who have come out of these situations of violence and attend psychotherapeutic clinical spaces. Together with two specific objetives, to identify the characteristics of situations of Gender based violence that women go through and know the posible incidence of complex trauma in the mental health of women exposed to multiple forms of violence. For this purpose, a qualitative methodology was used and the in depth interview and the ITQ and DES questionnaires were used as tools. In line with recent research, the significant Relationship that exist between experiences of abuse and Development of complex trauma in childhood and adolescence with the generation of insecure and disorganized attachment styles with exposure in adult life to situation of GBV with partners is observed and ex partners together with generation of symptoms typical of complex trauma.
