Las cooperativas de trabajo en Argentina tuvieron un importante auge en los inicios del siglo XXI debido a las crisis económicas y sociales que afectaron al país. Esta situación supuso una reestructuración de la política social y de empleo que puso el énfasis en el trabajo como medio de inclusión social. El objetivo del presente artículo es describir y caracterizar el tipo de inserción laboral que las cooperativas de trabajo proponen a sus miembros en términos de ingresos, formalización, beneficios, garantías laborales y modos en que organizan la producción y los tiempos.
Worker cooperatives in Argentina experienced an important boom at the beginning of the 21st century in response to the economic and social crises that affected the country. This situation entailed a restructuring of social and employment policies that emphasized work as a means of social inclusion. The aim of this article is to describe and characterize the type of labor insertion that worker cooperatives propose to their members in terms of income, formalization, benefits, and labor guarantees and the ways in which they organize production and time.
