En este artículo abordamos la narración Paso del norte, que forma parte del libro El llano en llamas (1953), del escritor mexicano Juan Rulfo (1917-1986). El relato aglutina la experiencia descarnada del tránsito humano desde tierras mexicanas hacia Estados Unidos. La propuesta conceptual de la trashumancia se pone al servicio de interpretar esta experiencia liminar de tránsito y desarraigo de la tierra que nos ve nacer hacia donde se anhela llegar.
In this article we address the story “Paso del norte”, which is part of the book El llano en Llamas (1953), by the Mexican writer Juan Rulfo (1917-1986). The story brings together the raw experience of human transit from Mexican lands to the United States. The conceptual proposal of transhumance is put at the service of interpreting this liminal experience of transit and uprooting from the land that sees us born towards where we long to arrive.
Neste artigo, abordamos a narração “Paso del norte”, que faz parte do livro El llano en Llamas (1953), do escritor mexicano Juan Rulfo (1917-1986). A história reúne a dura experiência do trânsito humano desde terras mexicanas aos Estados Unidos. A proposta conceitual da transumância é colocada ao serviço da interpretação desta experiência liminar de trânsito e desenraizamento da terra que nos vê nascer para onde desejamos chegar.
