Este trabajo sintetiza algunos resultados de investigación acerca del conflicto y el Estado en una villa de emergencia situada en la ciudad de Buenos Aires. Se trata de presentar algunos ejes de conflicto en la sociabilidad cotidiana que permiten comprender ciertos ejercicios de violencia en el barrio. Al mismo tiempo, se trata de pensar de qué manera el Estado interviene en la vida de la villa y cómo interactúa específicamente en estas líneas de conflicto. Los tres ejes que se identifican son la fragmentación espacial, el posicionamiento de los actores y las nacionalidades de los habitantes de la villa. La mención de estos ejes no pretende agotar la sociabilidad de la villa sino dar cuenta de algunos tipos de conflicto frecuentes.
This paper summarizes some research findings on conflict and state in an Argentinian villa de emergencia. The aim is to explain three central themes that will allow us to understand certain daily violence that take place in the neighborhood. Besides, the paper analyzes the state’s role in the neighborhood and the relationship between the state and the three central themes. The three main lines identified are the spatial fragmentation, the actor’s position in social space, and the nationalities. The mention of these axes is not intended to exhaust the neighborhood sociability but to explain some daily kinds of conflict.
