Description
Uno de los principales efectos de la crisis económica que azota a América Latina puede ser constatado en la agudización de la pobreza en la región, tanto en volumen, como en intensidad. Frente a esta situación, los organismos internacionales han propuesto acciones integradas tendientes a la superación del problema. Dentro de este contexto, se organizó la Conferencia Regional sobre la Pobreza, de la cual surgió el Proyecto Regional para la Superación de la Pobreza, encabezado por el programa de las Naciones Unidas para el Desarrollo.
