dc.descriptionEsta tesis analiza los trabajos del cuidado de la tierra y el agua, desplegados para posibilitar el producir, el habitar y el creer en Chíchira, territorio rural ubicado en el nororiente de la cordillera de los Andes colombianos. La investigación etnográfica indaga en prácticas cotidianas de lugar, organizadas a partir del género y pensadas como formas de producción de espacialidades campesinas. Aborda como problema de investigación un denso entramado de cuidados y lugares, un tejido que articularemos con memorias, ecosistemas, economías y espiritualidades en Chíchira, comunidad andina, católica y mestiza, situada en el nororiente de Colombia, junto a la frontera con Venezuela. Entre julio de 2020 y diciembre de 2023 hice trabajo etnográfico allí. Mis principales herramientas de investigación fueron la observación, la participación, la recolección y las conversaciones con las personas de Chíchira. La tesis partirá presentando sus tramas y urdimbres teóricas –entretejidas también con experiencias etnográficas–, articulando el cuidar con el habitar y considerando la centralidad del género, el trabajo y la naturaleza. Posteriormente, reconstruirá las memorias del cuidado del campo, a partir del archivo y la consulta de historiografía, teniendo también en cuenta las narrativas pañadas en terreno. Luego describirá detalladamente los trabajos del cuidado situados en fincas y espacios comunitarios –donde se hizo etnografía–, considerando especialmente las relaciones con el agua y el sostenimiento de las infraestructuras hídricas. Finalmente, se enfocará en los quehaceres espirituales para sostener la tierra y el agua: las vírgenes, santos y santitos de devoción popular, así como las ritualidades y peregrinaciones asociadas al ciclo agrario.es_ES
dc.descriptionThis thesis analyses the work of caring for the land and water, deployed to enable production, living and believing in Chíchira, a rural territory located in the north-east of the Colombian Andes Mountain range. The ethnographic research investigates everyday practices of place, organised on the basis of gender and thought of as forms of production of peasant spatiality’s. It addresses as a research problem a dense web of care and places, a fabric that we will articulate with memories, ecosystems, economies and spiritualities in Chíchira, an Andean, Catholic and mestizo community, located in the north-east of Colombia, near the border with Venezuela. Between July 2020 and December 2023, I did ethnographic work there. My main research tools were observation, participation, collection and conversations with the people of Chíchira. The thesis will start by presenting its theoretical plots and warps -also interwoven with ethnographic experiences-, articulating care with dwelling and considering the centrality of gender, work and nature. Subsequently, it will reconstruct the memories of land care, based on archival and historiographical research, also taking into account the narratives collected in the field. It will then describe in detail the care work situated on farms and in community spaces -where ethnography was carried out- with particular regard to relationships with water and the maintenance of water infrastructures. Finally, it will focus on the spiritual tasks to sustain land and water: the virgins and saints of popular devotion, as well as the rituals and pilgrimages associated with the agrarian cycle.es_ES
