Mientras las propuestas del capitalismo en su expresión neoliberal continúan fracasando en la reducción de las desigualdades, y en el cumplimiento de la promesa de un desarrollo que permita a hombres y mujeres, en entornos marginados, salir de su situación precaria y acceder a nuevas “libertades” que les permitan contar con mejores oportunidades para salir de las diversas “pobrezas” en que viven, aparecen propuestas alternativas de un desarrollo divergente que pretende responder directa y contextualizadamente a las realidades de grupos sociales periféricos, desde los cuales se construyen propuestas que pretenden generar un nuevo rumbo inclusivo de desarrollo.
As neoliberal capitalism continues to fail on reducing inequities, and continues to fail on fulfilling its promise of a kind of “development” that would allow impoverished men and women to improve their situation and be able to experience a “freedom” which would empower them with new and better opportunities to vanish their many types of “poverties”, new and alternative models raise, presenting a different and inclusive type of development which intends to respond to their particular situations of exclusion and build on an alternative model.
