Este artículo discute las dimensiones problemáticas de las formas en que la noción de individuo
ha sido y es movilizada por una parte importante del feminismo en América Latina. La presentación
aborda los avatares de su recepción teórica y política, además se detiene en las consecuencias
que este modo de comprensión tiene en el ámbito de la producción de conocimientos y en
el de los procesos de institucionalización estatal (políticas públicas).
This paper addresses the problematic dimensions of the use given to the notion of the individual by a significant number of Latin American Feminism. The text analyzes the theoretical and political reception of the notion as well as the consequences of this type of understanding in two main areas: the production of knowledge and of the processes of state institutionalization (public policies).
