Ecuador es un país expuesto a múltiples amenazas. Erupciones volcánicas, inundaciones, sismos, deslizamientos, tsunamis, sequías… Debido a factores políticos, sociales, económicos, culturales y ambientales entre otros, la susceptibilidad (vulnerabilidad) a ser afectado es muy grande, por lo que podemos decir que el Ecuador tiene un alto riesgo a verse afectado por estos fenómenos naturales. Las fotos que se muestran a continuación fueron tomadas durante el año 2008 y versan sobre el riesgo ante las erupciones del volcán Tungurahua.

Volcanic eruptions, floods, earthquakes, landslides, tsunamis, droughts… Due to political, social, economic, cultural and environmental factors among others, the susceptibility (vulnerability) to be affected is very large, so it is possible to say that Ecuador has a high risk to be affected by these hazards. The photographs of the article were taken during the year 2008 and they show the disaster risk due to the Tungurahua eruptions.
